Dr. Fabian C. Villacis is a Connecticut native having completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Quinnipiac University in 2005. He received his Doctorate in Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2011. His experience includes externships at the Perkins School for the Blind, Worcester VA Hospital in Massachusetts, Aran Eye Associates in Miami, and Dimock Community Health Center in Boston.
In 2012, Dr. Villacis completed an optometric residency in Ocular Disease in the Connecticut Health Care System at the Newington Veteran Affairs Hospital in Newington, CT. Upon completion of the residency, he joined the staff at Eye Physicians and Surgeons, a multi-specialty ophthalmology firm in New Haven County.
Dr. Villacis specializes in the treatment and management of ocular disease, routine eye exams, standard or complex soft contact lens fits, rigid gas permeable contact lens fits, and scleral lens fits. Dr. Villacis is pleased to accept new patients to our practice.
He is a member in good standing with the American Optometric Association, the Connecticut Association of Optometrists, and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity of Connecticut (VOSH-CT). In June 2019 he performed a mission trip here in the United States. His next mission is planned for Nicaragua in January 2020. Dr. Villacis speaks Spanish fluently as his family is from Ecuador.
In his free time, Dr. Villacis loves to spend time with his wife and their five kids. He also enjoys playing tennis, basketball, and most recently has begun running half marathons.
